I extend a warm welcome to you and your family. Most recently I have had the honor to be appointed as the new MYP Coordinator at Naseem International School. This new stage in my professional life is a new station through which I am able to continue supporting our students academically and as individuals to continue their school journey as lifelong learners and become the leaders for our future.
It is a privilege for me to work with our students, our staff and our families to make our school the very best it can be. As a member of the pedagogical and leadership team at our institution, my aim is to take on board and work on the overarching responsibilities for ensuring that the teaching and learning will be enriched in line with the philosophical and implementation requirements of the Middle Years Program. My role is pivotal in the collaborative planning process. By taking this responsibility, my role also ensures that pedagogical aspects are discussed, information is disseminated and the programme is planned, taught and assessed collaboratively.
Furthermore, as an IB World School, our ultimate goal is to develop internationally minded citizens who “recognize their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet to help to create a better and more peaceful world.”
At NIS we want the students to learn ways of modeling the attributes of the learner profiles. Learning experiences are created so that the students are able to develop these characteristics. The learner profiles help teachers and students establish goals, plan units of inquiry and assess academic performance. These beliefs and values drive our commitment towards a high quality, challenging and internationally branded education at NIS. They are grounded in our vision that Naseem International School inspires lifelong learners and global citizens.
