President's Message
On behalf of the administration, faculty members, and staff, I would like to welcome you to Naseem International School where the realization of your goals and dreams start. As President / Director of Naseem International School, I am particularly proud of my achievements. Having two children of my own at the time, I saw the need for a bilingual school catering for Bahrainis and children from other Arabian countries.

I raised a family of five, the youngest one is a current student of NIS. My proudest moment came when I presided over the school's first graduation class in 1998. This was the crowning glory of my achievement, an affirmation of my hard work over the years.

Between its establishment and now, I have been directly involved in drawing up its educational philosophy and aims, campus design, building and development, educational programs, accreditation, staff recruitment and management, and student welfare. The faculty comprises of 100 highly qualified members from different countries and who speaks a variety of languages including that of English and Arabic, which are our languages of instruction. Students are nurtured to become conscientious and informed citizens who foster a sense of responsibility towards others, locally and internationally. In agreement with our philosophy and mission, we provide a balanced education that enables each student to fulfill his/her potential in all areas of growth; intellectually, physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially.

We aim to empower each student to become the person he can and he wants to be. We realize the importance of students becoming critical thinkers who can take care of themselves and compassionately care for others, thus, taking an active part in shaping our society and in saving our world.
Naseem International School is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition Nursery to Grade 12 is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools—1997, 2004 and 2009. (MSA).

The high school diploma is formally recognized by the Ministry of Education as equivalent to Bahrain’s Secondary Diploma. The school is authorized to teach the IB Primary Years Programme in 2008 (PYP), and IB Diploma Programme in 1997 (IBDP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB).

The school currently has candidate status for the Middle Years Programme (MYP). Students choose to sit for the IB Diploma or IB Courses, in addition to the High School Diploma. The school is also a member of the following organizations:

  • (MOE) Ministry of Education
  • (IBO) International Baccalaureate Organization
  • (QQA) National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education & Training
  • (CIS) Council of International Schools
  • (ECIS) European Council of International Schools
  • (NHS) National Honor Society
  • (CITA) The Commission on Internal and Trans - Regional Accreditation
  • (ASCD) Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development
  • (MSA) Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools
  • (NESA) Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools

It has been authorized and has successfully implemented the IB Diploma Programme since 1996. The three programmes guarantee that our students are part of an internationally accepted, world standard academic programme and ensure the development of "academically focused, world minded" students, who are prepared to face the challenges of the world.

NIS offers the students the opportunity to study for the full IB Diploma or IB Course in selected subjects in Grades 11 and 12. This two years programme, which is an Internationally recognized pre-university course, caters for students' needs and ability levels while ensuring that an Internationally accepted standerd is maintained.

I am also very proud to note that our graduates have gone beyond our expectations.  They have become very successful in their own fields of specialization here and around the world.  This only proves that our school is indeed molding young minds to become globally competitive leaders in business, engineering, medicine, and other fields.

A variety of extra-curricular activities, including sports, drama, art and music are offered to address the creative and physical needs of students. While all Middle and High School students participate in the schools Community and Service or CAS programmes.

Proudly I can say that Naseem International School is the first school in Bahrain to offer all three of the IB internationally recognized academic programmes. This will ensure that our students are afforded a rigorous, highly sought after education which is internationally accepted and which adheres to international academic standards.

To the students and their parents, I would like to encourage you to aspire to great things, be confident in the knowledge that each of us can make a difference; set high goals and work hard to achieve them. Be active in the pursuit of these goals and take full advantage of the opportunities that exist.
